A rare and expressive coffee variety, Gesha is celebrated for its exceptional aromatic complexity, delicate florals and remarkable cup character. This Red Gesha comes from Jardines del Edén, located in Quindío, Colombia, at an altitude of 2,000 metres above sea level. Cultivated by Felipe Arcila and his team, this coffee reflects years of dedication to exploring the potential of exceptional varieties and innovative processing techniques. The Natural EF2 process combines two carefully controlled fermentation stages to develop complexity while preserving the coffee’s distinctive character. Only the ripest cherries are selected by hand before undergoing 24 hours of dry aerobic fermentation, followed by 50 hours of anaerobic fermentation in GrainPro bags at temperatures below 22°C. After fermentation, the cherries are transferred to raised drying beds inside a greenhouse, where they are carefully turned and monitored until reaching the ideal moisture content.
